ジェームス・ソータはPanjivaでプロダクト・ビジョン、エンジニアリング、データサイエンスを担当。Panjivaを共同創業する前は、Intel Researchに在籍し、人工知能を活用したコンピューターアーキテクチャデザインを担当。Caltechでは、機械学習の研究も行い、コンピューターサイエンスの分野で論文発表の実績をもつ。Panjivaの最高技術責任者を務めながら、MITコンピューターサイエンス学部にて、大型並列コンピューターシステムの博士号取得をめざしている。また、ハーバードビジネススクール、MITスタートアップブートキャンプ、ホワイトハウスにて人工知能、オープンデータ、アントレプレナーシップの講義を行ってきた。コーネル大学で優等（summa cum laude）で電気コンピューターエンジニアリングの理学士号を取得し、その後MITにてコンピューターサイエンスの修士号を取得。

James is responsible for product vision, engineering, and data science at Panjiva. Prior to co-founding Panjiva, he was at Intel Research, where he leveraged artificial intelligence to inform computer architecture design. James also did machine learning research at Caltech and is published in the field of computer science. While serving as Panjiva’s CTO, James is pursuing a Ph.D. in large-scale parallel computer systems at the Computer Science Department at MIT. He has spoken about artificial intelligence, open data, and entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School, MIT Startup Bootcamp, and The White House. James holds a B.S., summa cum laude, in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University and a masters in computer science from MIT.
