ジョナサン・エプスタイン：日米両国のクラウドやFintechの分野で活躍するエンジェル投資家。投資先には、自身が創業者兼会長を務めるMoneytree（財務データ集約）、同じく創業者兼会長を務めるPlusAMP（データ配信・販売）、投資家兼役員を務めるCloudian（ソフトウェアベースの新しいストレージ）、エンジェルステージ投資家として関わるGuidewire（NYSE：GWRE、P&C損害保険データプラットフォーム）、同じくエンジェルステージ投資家として関わるShowt（インスタントグローバル投票ツール）など。

ソフトバンク孫正義氏をサポートする戦略ディレクターからそのキャリアをスタート。また、企業買収、ジョイントベンチャーの形成、アリババへの2千万ドルの初期投資、E*Tradeへの3億ドルの投資、ナスダック・ジャパンの創設など、多岐にわたるスタートアップに直接関与する。 韓国第一銀行、Ziff Davis、Softbank Emerging Marketsなど様々な企業の役員を歴任、。ペイパルジャパンのジェネラルマネージャーなど、金融サービス企業やインターネット企業で重役職を務める。

ハーバードビジネススクールでMBA（1994年卒）を取得、プリンストン大学では哲学を専攻し、1988年に優（Cum Laude ）等で卒業。日本語とフランス語を流暢に話し、北京語とヘブライ語は日常会話レベルのやり取りが可能。

Jonathan Epstein is an angel investor in the Cloud and Fintech spaces in Japan and the U.S. His investments include, Moneytree (financial data aggregation) as Founder/Chairman; PlusAMP (data distribution & sales) as Founder/Chairman; Cloudian (software-defined storage) as Investor/Board member; Guidewire (NYSE:GWRE, P&C insurance data platform) as angel-stage investor; and Showt (instant global voting tool) as angel-stage investor.

Jonathan got his start supporting Masayoshi Son as Softbank’s director of strategy and was directly involved in acquisitions, JV formations, and start-ups ranging from the initial $20m investment into Alibaba, a $300m investment into E*Trade and the creation of Nasdaq Japan. He has served on various boards, including Korea 1st Bank, Ziff Davis, and Softbank Emerging Markets. He has held senior positions in financial services and Internet companies, among them as GM for PayPal Japan.

Jonathan has an MBA from Harvard Business School (Class of 1994) and graduated from Princeton in 1988, Cum Laude with a major in Philosophy. He is fluent in Japanese and French and conversational in Mandarin Chinese and Hebrew.
